    Thank-you.

It started out as the HCG chassis (3.5” of ground clearance).

I changed it to a LCG Traxxas chassis, adjustable Proline body mounts, XO1 front and rear wheels, 17mm hex adapters.

The trans is an aluminum Fast Lane Machine product with their sealed diff

I added a 1/8th scale CC sensored 2200kv with the Mamba Monster X, MIP axles and a Futaba radio/receiver

It’s currently 4s but once I get a battery tray solution figured out, I’d like to try 6s.

I’m really glad you like it.

I’m happy to say that both front and rear tires clear the body and there is no rubbing. That was my largest concern when I first built the truck and bought the XO1 wheels for it.

The rears on the Raptor are the wide XO1 rear wheels too and there are no issues.

Those are some super sticky tires. I mean it sticks upside down!

But seriously, great looking truck! Is it a lowered 2WD Slash with XO-1 wheels and tires?

    I’m glad you like it!

Yes, it’s a 2wd Slash with lowered suspension (nitro fuel tube trick on shock shafts) and the adjustable Proline body mounts.

The wheels on the Raptor are from an XO1 and are the super wide rears along with the slightly smaller fronts.

Awesome! I like it a lot. Did you need to install adapters? I'm not sure if the XO-1 uses larger wheel hexes.

BTW your photos are upside down though.

I’ve heard that from a few guys. The photos look perfectly right side up on my iPad though.

The XO1 uses the larger 17mm hexes so I converted my Raptor using the AKA 17mm adapters. I like their color which complements the XO1 ‘black chrome’ as well as the Raptors ‘magnetic’ colour

    Thanks for the info!

The photos appear upside down in your post. I'm on Windows 7 using the latest version of Google Chrome. But when I open the images in a new tab they are right side up.

Spooky... Are the fronts the same width as the funnycar tires? Someone told me they are basically the same. Wondering if the ft or rears are the same...

I’m about half way there but shortly the truck will be 6s. Aerodynamics will obviously be a bit of a challenge but the transformation is lots of fun

I'm using the castle creations mamba monster X and a sensored 2200 kv castle motor

If you haven't tried one of their sensored motors...you should. Very smooth at slow speeds...makes the truck feel that much more realistic

I’m fabbing up a prettier, more secure front bumper mount. Just Finishing it up now

I notched the chassis around each 3s battery so they sit as low as possible on the chassis floor

You have any pics of what's left of the rear of your gear box? Do you have any room for gear changes?

Where did you get your pinion and spur? Are you using stock slipper?

I've got 1 deg of toe in (rear end) because of the flm a arm mounts and another 1.5 deg toe in from the stock a arms themselves

How can I decrease my toe in? I'd like to take out 1.5 to 2 degrees. Anyone?
