Sorry if I am bug illiterate, but what is attached to the bumper mount that goes up towards the rear body mounts? Looks like a roll cage? As far as the help, no problem, nice paint!

That's part of the original bumper mount. I just turned it up and tucked it under the body and tightend it down with screws that didn't have shoulder stops on them.

mine came with wing and mounting bolts but I lost the bolts kinda like it without wing

I wasn't that sure about Bug bodies until I tried one, but I wouldn't go back now :-)

I am running 4S (5Ah 25C) on an EZrun80A ESC with KD36-74-06XL 2800kv motor (110Amps!), using 32-pitch gearing 15/56, plus a couple of other bits and bobs (RPM bits, gyro, linear springs in the rear, wheeliebar etc). Top speed is just over 40mph, and the bug body's aerodynamics seem just fine up to that speed (unlike the stock body!).

Hey thanks had to do something different Chrome air brush paint, black marker by parma. Yeah i'm thinking of doing one for the 4x4 and keeping that for the 2wd. My atomic hobby had them cheap free shipping

Yeah that is what I had in mind also !
My first car was a 68 VW bug at the ripe age of 14 cut the fenders just like the baja, taillights were above the back window welded doors shut.

here's my slash with the new baja body...I'm extremely pleased with the way it turned out!

Inspired by a couple of other members, I decided to stretch a Rustler chassis a bit and fit a Pro-Line Baja Bug body for the Slash. I wanted the wheels to fit underneath the fenders in a more scale-like manner. I used the Pro-Line Protrac wheels on it to bring things in a little. I also used just the skid plate from the RPM bumper on the front. The rear "cage" is just a modified Slash rear bumper, an idea borrowed from another builder.

I'll be putting on some STRC red aluminum shock bodies soon as well as adding a simple interior and driver.

This will get thrashed around this weekend with a VXL system, so I wanted to post some pictures before it got scratched up.
