Thanks. So these Pro-Line Maxx Paddle tires will work with the non half-up JConcepts Rulux wheel?
ID of that tire is 3.4" and the Rulux wheels are 3.46". Forgive me but I'm still learning the world of tires and wheels.

The diameter will work, what is the width of the tire you are wanting to use?Originally Posted by DigDug

Looks like those tires will be a little wide, but should work with @ 1/2" of sidewall hanging over...

what do you think about the quality of axial beadlocks?
When I read this I'm affraid:

Just play.
I have the yellow ones, the tires are narrow but the rim size is the same as stock (about 3.8") Only had them up front since two stripped.Originally Posted by RedRaider

Looking for something that is similar to the pro-line bow tie discs in 3.2 without the offset but is not a disc. I am looking for a 3.2 rim like maybe the Axial Wicked Retro but with something similar to Bow Ties.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
AJ

BUMP, this is a GREAT thread save it...
I'd go with the Maximizer beadlocks. They're light (for beadlocks), and hold the tire incredibly well..Originally Posted by Pulse

OK. This is a great post with a ton of information and I'm hoping to get some opinions. I run alot on my street and sidewalk with transitions to my lawn and the occational park bash when I can. Would I be ok with something like the PL RR or would the mashers work better? Again, alot of my run time is onroad.
Just rub some dirt on it, it'll be fine.......
That's a tough call. RR's hook up very well on the road, not so much in other conditions. where as the Mashers aren't that bad on the road, but are ideal for all other conditions....
Does that make any sense??
I guess if you'r mostly on-road, I'd go with the RR's (or similar)..But then again....![]()

See... not an easy decision especially as I'm looking to do this with 1 set of tires. I do not have the time to swap set ups as I need to maximize the time I do have to run the truck. I currently run on some GRP LPR premounts that have done well by me but are quickly going away as they are getting more use. Especially onroad. My offroad exploits are typically short cut grass and hard packed dirt. Open to suggestions.

HPI Mounted Phaltline Tire/Blast Wheel Chrome, how many use these?
Are you happy with them on the ERBE
I have the Phaltline tires, but mounted on the Tremor wheels.Originally Posted by cmnyj28

i think the mashers are one of the best "all terrain" tires out there. They are soft enough to grip hard packed surfaces decently... but not so soft that they wear down really fast.
Honestly if you were looking for a great all around tire.... find something that is a better quality tire but has treads like the talons. The talons will blow if you gear up on 4s and/or 6s
here is an idea of what terrain I run. Provided the link works.

Just if you are interested guy I ordered some proline badland from Tower Hobbies about 2 week ago and Received them last week. I mounted them this week-end and on the Tower picture they are shown with the foam that look like the one in the photo below. I heard many people had trouble with the foam. But mine came with other foam that almost look like closed cell foam. I don't know if it's just me or if it's like that since a while. But these foam look really well made, much better than the foam I have in my 2.2 badland on the Rusty.

Yeah, I was leaning towards the mashers. Thinking 3.2 MT size. Now to figure out which wheel.

Ok. I saw someone post something about the Losi Zombie maxx tires. I can get them cheap. Would those work good for alot of asphalt and grass?

They do come in other colors (Black, white, yellow). But for some reason these greenies are half the price.
they also come in 14mm (if needed).
I dyed mine black, and they turned out awesome..![]()

Anybody know a good 40 series dish wheels to put the road rage 40 series tires on? Can't seem to find one. All I see are the big chrome things and those are ugly.

This is another good one to bookmark guys. Not totally up to date!!
Those can work, they have 23mm hex's though. That's not all that bad but i was just going to try and stick to 17's since it's more general. But if i can't find any 17mm hex ones then I guess I'll just have lots of hex's lolOriginally Posted by SlotterHouse

Quick question and maybe way out there but has anyone tried to stretch the MT size road rages on to LPR wheels? I have a set of wheels not being used and was wondering if that would even work. I'm assuming that the phaltlines would not fit...... Was looking for and onroad tire to use with those rims seeing as I already have them.
Just rub some dirt on it, it'll be fine.......
what are LPR wheels?
I know the road rages (3.2) will fit onto rulux half ups (3.7) rims with little problem. It's just a little harder to glue them b/c this creates a really deep sidewall.
LPR wheels are 3.7, same as the rulux half-ups. Might just get some bow-ties or something and call it a day. Thanks.
