converted 3.3 with mmm, help

this is gonna sound stupid but I have 3.3 revo converted with a mmm combo and I am using the stock revo tranny (foc) and using the mechanical brakes , when the brake servo is going the right way , the motor goes backwards , I have the esc programmed for forward, brakes , no reverse, . on castles website it says the green light should come on when forward throttle is applied and if not reverse the throttle on the transmitter , dont know if it matters but the radio is a spektrum

Does everything work fine if you don't apply the brakes?
