Those lights won't last with anyone driving. Unless you just do speed runs up and down the street.
My first roll and they were all broke off. Even the ones in front of the window on the hood broke off too.
But they look great on these bug bodies though.

The rack and lights were made for scale crawlers. So I made it more Slash proof. it will be used for the sand when I have it set up this way. The lights are now protected with a steel bar and bolted to the rack. The rack is padded with foam then attached with HD velcro. The rack stays on solid in the sand but can tear away if it takes a direct hit

Nah, they're sand tires for the front. Helps the steering alot in a sandy enviornment.

    I bought one

Yours looks great and I am anxious to fit mine but I have one problem...how in the world did you cut that thing?

It has some seriously think lexan and lexan scissors choke on it. I tried every Dremel cutting disk and tool I have, but it makes a mess of the body, especially the overspray mask.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Before, I made skidplates out of steel and I used tinsnips to cut the metal. I also decided to use the tinsnips to cut the next body I got. It took alot less time to get that body done. I outlined the edges of the body w/ sharpie and then w/ the x-acto, I lightly cut along the sharpie line and used the tinsnips to help cut to the sharpie line. You would just bend the scrap you wanted off and it would just snap off cleanly. Tinsnips worked very well IMO.

Like carbonrevo33 said tin snips work great. I use a combination of trauma shears and the lexan scissors for the fine detail. Trauma shears can be bought at Harbor Freight ,Sears, Ace, nursing uniform shop, fabric stores or onlline and their cheap.

RPM gear cover will be your best friend in keeping this from getting sand in the gears and having to replace spurs/ pinions every run.

sand killed mine this past weekend. Even in the tranny. The case was not sealed at the lower front end. Had to silicone it.

I love the bug lid! does the rear bumper fit with this shell?

Also i curious on what battery you are using with those paddles.

The rear bumper will fit if I cut the body more. I don't want to do that so I'm going to modify the stock bumper a little

When I run it with my Titan I use a 7 cell nimh works fine on the firm sand, on the loose sand its ok just don't get bogged down because you can't power out of it like I can with my vxl and 3S lipos.

I have been using a 2S in the sand pit i use and have seen the need for a 3S.
