    can you help?

    im a first time nitro car owner. when removing the motor.how do you get the nut off the compression gear without it turning?

    im planning on putting a 3.3 in it instead of the 2.5

    compression gear?...is the gear metal or plastic
    if its fast its a rustler

    metal it might be the flywheel it has two prongs sticking out of it

    if you aare talking about the 2.5 and 3.3 there basically the came motor with a bigger crankcase pistion and sleeve...but the flywheel there is a brand called duratrax and they make a tool to hold the flywheel while u get the nut off...if you have access to a vice i would clamp it in there and then get a 5mmwrench to get it off

    i just put it in a vice and crank on it with a pair of pliers
    i need a 3.3 for my cf rustler

    okay got the nut off now how do you get the flywheel off do you just pull it or turn it?

    Why did you need to take the flywheel off to take off the motor? Just take off the four screws right next the engine.
