    Dye the chassis?

Since I cant drive my revo vxl for atlest a month I was thinking of dying the chassis black any opinions? My only worry is taking the center diff out like the whole unit with the motor would that be hard? The ESC, Servo, and esc is already out of the car.

    Here is a video:

His video is pretty good in showing the procedure and materials to use. Something I'll think about If I can get the dye.

Wouldn't adding the chassis to boiling water make the chassis more brittle or less stable? Some older plastics for HPI trucks used to require that you boil the suspension arms so that they would not break so easily in a crash. Some plastics can be very sensitive to boiling water.

So I stripped the chasis down just pop it in the pot like no sanding? And will the dye come off in the pot and not stay in it? And how much of the liquid/packet do you use?

for the wheels i used 1/3 of a bottle of rit dye. my wife is ****** b/c the pot i used is now red. now if there r any rough spots on the chasis u need to sand them b/c the wheels i did were brand new out of the package, so u may need to and them

It wasn't to bad. when you do it lay everything out like i did it makes it easier to put back togeather.

I just took it apart and cleaned it. I boiled the water and put one pack of the powder black rit dye in it. Through the chassis and rods in there and turned off the heat. I let it set for 20 mins then took it out and washed it off with water. After that i just put everything back togeather.
    mini revo on order :)
