    MLST Zombies Mod

I had these laying around I had to use an 11/16 drill for the center hole on the wheel but the losi hex's fit the stock axles and pins perfect. Size wise they are really close on height but the talons are a little wider, the offset looks to be almost a perfect match. This opens the door for alot more tire options and cheap too.

The regular Zombie-Maxx tires were great for all around bashing. Got traction on any surface. Hopefully these will do the same!

They are a soft compound, I would love to use them on my mini slash but they will not fit under the body..

Nice to here that Losi hex's fit. That mean we now have a huge variety of wheels and tires to use. I think I'm gonna order some 1.18 PL Wabashes and try them. Oh and your truck looks sweet

I thought the Losi hexs were 9mm and the revo's were the typical 12mm?

Well thats good to know they'll work but with the 9mm hubs and all that power on tap I couldn't help but to be concerned that they will not strip ?
Please keep us posted on the long run if they hold up because thats a seriously cheap option for some sweet MER sneakers !

    Ripped1,
It seems like the suspension on your MER is sitting pretty high. Have you cranked up the preloads or have you swapped out the springs for a higher rated set F&R ?
    BTW, Nice Pics.

OK heres the update... So far I have not had any issues I thought I may have problems with the wheels falling off because the nut not going on as far but not loosing up after 3 packs.

The zombies are SUPER grippy I had to loosen the slipper even more As far as the Hexes I am only running a 2s so I dont know how they will be with a 3s but I was running a wraith 7k with a 3s in the mlst without any hex issues now the mlst diffs were a different story.I know the do make the losi hexes in aluminum if it becomes an issue with 3s.

I have swaped to the Double Blacks springs and I have preload set high for running through the grass. I have a set of the Losi mlst mini pins I'm going to try at the track tommorow I'll let you know how they work they seem a little hard compound but will see.

What I really like about the losi tires is that there is no need for a gearing change and as far as price there are ebay auctions that are selling complete sets of 4 MLST wheels and tires for around 20 dollars so the price is right thats for sure.

Heres some pics with the mini pins I think they look good

They seem to be perfectly sized!!! So you had to drill out the wheels 11/16 but not the hexes? Nice looking body BTW.
I think this is what one would need correct?

    Hubs:

    (or Aluminum: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSB0945)

    Wheels:

And see link below for more MLST sized wheel/tire options:

Ok gonna try and do this myself. If I understand this correct I ordered the right things.

    Hex's http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220406614343
    Wheels and tires http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=290325400155

And y'all say I need to drill them out to 11/16? The rims that is?

I have two sets of the GPM Racing Vacuum rims for my MLST, and they are by far the most durable MLST rims I tried. All Losi brand MLST rims crack around the hex!

Can we get a link to those wheels, thanks!

MoonDeville, yes that is correct just the wheels. He said you do not have to drive the hexes. And nice find on those tires!!! Very cheap for 4 of them.

Does this rim/tire combo traction roll alot?

I am runnning the kyosho 1/10 scale buggy wheel and proline step pins right now, and they traction roll alot. They work well on dirt and grass, but high traction surfaces give way too much bite.

Don't quote me but I think the MLST MLST2 and Baja share the same hex and tire sizr. Call Losi real quick and ask them the diff of LOSB0998 and LOSB0968 I'm thinking there is little diff. I could be wrong.
