Hmmm, I wonder if Traxxas gave them approval to use those bodies?

Cheap or not, they are 4wd. That alone makes it stand out in my book.

I can see this thread being closed momentarily, but in the meantime; it looks like a buggy for the most part, except no CD and the spur is way in the rear like a 1/10 touring car.

Personally, I would (and have) just convert an 8th scale buggy of your choice. Tough as nails and the Slash body fits perfectly width and wheel base wise.

When it breaks, just run down to the LHS and ask for parts. Let me know what they say. Just stick with name brand, hobby-quality equipment.

Never buy one of those they are higher quality than toys but they're nowhere near the level of performance and durability of a real hobby grade name brand car.

for about 3 min. then you will be down for parts. thought this was a traxxas forum anyway, but i guess they did steal the body from traxxas.

So what if its 4wd. it would have enough power to use it properly, you cant run it in any corr class, you will have a great time getting parts shipped from overseas when it breaks.

But by all means if you want one, buy one. But dont be surprised that when you buy cheap you get cheap. Junk is cheap for a reason.

Hey, if every other RC company is riding the coat-tails of Traxxas on the short-course front anyway, why not the Chinese? Me, I think I'll stick with the original and by far the best; the Slash!

i have a car thats very similar. only difference is it runs dual shocks.

the esc/motor heat up so much on a 6 cell pack they burn ur hand, the axles twist from the weak brushed motor, the shock shafts bend from a foot high jump.

my friend has there brushless buggy which is a bit more similar if not the same apart from body mounts and bumpers, its ok speed and fun to drive, but it cant take much abuse, itd really only be good on a smooth dirt area with no rocks or things to crash into.

I never said I wanted to get one, I would never buy a cheap no-name brand.

Man you guys got po'd at this. I never said I'd buy one, just wanted to be sure it was junk before I passed on it. I have a 1/10 and 1/16 slash now I want a 4wd drive 1/10 slash. I may do a slayer convert but it sounds costly. I guess I'll wait for traxxas to make one converted already. Any how case closed. Its JUNK! Lol

If you want a cheap copy of the Slash that's 4wd go ahead, go down that road but you won't be to happy when you're waiting on parts from China.

I'm not too sure about this one but I had a chance to run one of the brushless redcat SCT trucks and it was a blast. I was handed the controller and told to "go for it!!". I ran a full 2S lipo through it, jumped it, bashed, raced it etc. Nothing broke and nothing was loose. I bashed it the same way I do my Slash so it took a beating. The one thing I didn't care for is the chassis wasn't very stiff and i could flex it in my hands. For the price it wasn't a bad truck. This looks to be a brushed version of that truck. If this is cheap (under $100) I'll pick one up.

There's also a hobby shop here that carries them and has a pretty good line of replacement parts.

i would get one if you have to order parts so what.If you run mini z's or fly heli's you have to order parts.I don't think it will break in 3 min. it should hold up It's a company trying to get there foot in the door.Just like my ezrun brushless system only 80.00 shipped and it's better then some name brands out there.

There is a ton of those of cheap copies out there on the market and none of them have caught on. It's very obvious that they copied the body style of the Slash.

Agreed. The body is a copy of traxxas. One of the things that surprised me was the size. When I saw this thing on the web I thought it actually used the Slash body. Not so. It's actually a few inches shorts and thinner.
