Unless I was looking to buy. Ready built track. Especially one as nice as that is looking. Pricless. Great Job. You will be very happy when you are done and racing.

Speaking of drink and drive...I know it's ilegal..when you're driving a real car on public roads. But it's gonna be one big laugh and challenge to drive (not to mention,race) our slash on closed track in a toxicated state

You and me both! Unfortunately 115 degrees is not great track building weather.

We worked on the double-double section and the tabletop last night. I ran the Slash and the big Revo today. It's a little small for 1/10 to open up but should be amazing for the 1/16 revo when I get it. I'm going to try to get one this week and post video.

You guys are killin' me! Just kidding...well there is a lot of work to get done still and we are just as anxious to see it completed as you all are so we can get to bashing. Thanks for all the compliments and words of encouragement guys.

The pits were made with 4 sheets of 4x8 ply. Each one cut down the middle as a 2x8 sheet. The sides were connected to each other with 2x4's which also serve as the load bearing surfaces for the top sheet. You can stand on it no problem.

Now time for some carpet? Put the carpet on the face of the jumps. Trust me after a couple of races you will get tired of fixing the jumps. I wish I had the money for a bobcat. Mine has been 8 months in the making. Getting dirt from here and there. Now I have one big whole where I have been getting my dirt from past two months.

And I have hauled in around 4 yards of dirt in the back my 1/2 ton too. I would decide to build this track on a hill side.
What I like about your track is that you did not go with narrow lanes just to have more track. Went with wide lanes and a shorter run line. Which is good. 1/10th trucks will be fun on your track.

The pool guys told me they dumped about 60 yards of dirt in my backyard which is a lot of dirt. My whole backyard is about 2 1/2-3 feet taller now. You are right, I sacrificed some track length to gain some track width. If I had more distance to the back wall I could have done more but I did what I could with what I had. I'll make it up by putting in more jumps, like a motocross track.

I'm just a UAV instructor pilot. Basically I fly really expensive overgrown R/C planes from inside a box through a bunch of computer monitors. Just a big kid playing with big toys, thats all.

Tomorrow I'll post the weekend's progress! I'm modifying the tabletop because it needs to be wider, and making the double-double suit the Slash. It's still hard to get good work done due to the excessive heat (110+) but we're plugging away still.
