Alright guys... i need your help on this one.
-STRAIGHT TO THE POINT: I'm going to start building a slash that has a lot of scale components ie: lights, body, wheels tires.
-what i NEED help with is finding some products that would help the scale look. I do not plan on bashing this one. I will drive it and a already have a vxl / lipo for it.
-PICS would help me.
-I ALREADY know which wheels / tires i want so i do NOT need help there.
-Once i start building it,... i'll start a new thread
-Also i'm looking for a ladder bar set up if anyone knows where i can find this. If you don't know what it is then you prob can't help find one. =)
big gulp huh? well, see ya later.
sounds good, i have been wanting to do this too. i will be happy to help u!
ummmm...this isnt what i ordered...
http://www.raceindustry.com/ART/MIGI...camburg_10.jpg lookin at this, i think you will want flood lights for the top and a spare tire or two on the back.
ummmm...this isnt what i ordered...
I was thinkin of this roll cage with one or two tires (prob one would look best)Originally Posted by specialone70

that looks really nice. do you have a link for that roll cage?
ummmm...this isnt what i ordered...
I use the HBZ roll cage...bear in mind its only a "Half Cage"...does add a bit more of a scale look to the slash..it also adds a lil strength as it braces the chassis to the rear shock tower.., but it also adds weight, but if your going scale you probly arent too concerned with that!

Here is my scale Slash............

do you know if the HBZ roll cage would fit a slash 4x4?
bellvis, what kinda shocks/springs/oil are you running in the rear?...the extra weight is destroying my rear stock shocks...probly buy some big bores tommorrow.

BELLVIS,
How do the lights handle in a roll over?
TO ALL,
Thanks for the replies.... keep them coming. I'm getting helpful idea from ya'll.
big gulp huh? well, see ya later.
I am running 50wt all around. I was going to grab the Big Bores but just can't justify spend $60 on shocks right now.Originally Posted by bigboy
They have held up great so far! The key is to be able to drive avoiding roll-overs!Originally Posted by timalec
Not sure it matters, but I got my Big Bore shocks off Amazon for $43.00Originally Posted by Bellvis

check out RC4wd.com they make a lot of scale parts (and expensive) parts for scale RC 4x4. And yes, they do have an already made rollcage for the slash chassis..err.. about half the price of the Slash itself![]()
Myth busted: Blitz is not faster on the track.

Rikk (OSF) from rccrawler makes scale light pods with lights and a nice scale roll cage for the slash. its a full roll cage. just a regular one or one with spare tires. its a little pricey though. the reg one is $180 and the one with spare tire(s) is $225!!! ouch, i know, but they look wicked! he makes them out of 3/16 brakeline.

I dunno? how much does a alum tranny weigh? the cage weighs about 13.5 ounces, almost a pound. Too much weight for me.Originally Posted by 88gators325
