    worst rc crash gallery!!!

from now on, if you have a bad rc crash you have pictures of and want to show people, post it here. and remember, list the broken parts!!!! I don't have any pics but I will start it off.
I was driving my emaxx on a half pipe at a skatepark and I was on the 8 foot side. I went to fast and went all the way up and over the back of the half pipe! I landed on my lid. ended up breaking it in half. I broke both rear bulkheads and the rear skid plate. it was only my second break!!! boy was it fun taking it apart and putting it back together who wants to go next?????

Tuning TMAXX and no body on. WOT and a Chevy S-10 pulls out of his driveway, never touched the brakes.

Broken parts = Chassis, both front and rear 6061-T6 bulks, chassis braces, tranny case, brake disc and pads, FOC output shaft, CB, cooling head, rpm a-arms, front pinion, rear pinion, front wheel bearings, basically the tranny was shot, cnc'd aluminum motor mount, spur gear and steering servo. Oh and I bent the (you know what) out of the header too.

now that is bad. gonna be hard to top that. all those parts broke. I am shocked about the rpm arms and the bulks (and the header) let's turn this into a competiton! people will be able to vote and the person who has the most votes wins!!!!!! but we have to have enough people to have a vote. more than one.

Wow emaxxman, you're really into this..
I don't have pics, but a few years ago I crashed my Jato head-on into a stubby concrete post - the ones you get in parks at the side of the footpath, just the right height to sit on. It was late and I was doing speed runs, I had one going really well and didn't want to slow down for a bend, I thought I'd be able to swerve to avoid the post but at that speed the truck didn't even respond. I was a bit of a noob with that kind of speed in an RC at the time, I was in second gear WOT and when the crunch came, the front was totally mushed in. Both front shocks destroyed with shock oil all over the truck, the bulkheads and shock tower were in pieces, steering servo lost a few teeth in the gears, top plate broken and the chassis bent up nice and high. The RPM arms held up though. It wasn't too expensive to repair since the engine, tranny, electronics etc. were still ok, though I did upgrade to a HS645mg servo for steering which cost a bit extra.

Definitely not the worst, but for the entertainment value. Sorry for the so-so pics from my cell phone.

Having a wheelie-distance contest in a parking lot next to my buddy's house. This one didn't fare so well. Held it for the full length, about 170' or so and got greedy. Came down hard, hit some loose stuff and the Rusty took a hard left directly into a curb at full speed.

    Carnage list:
RPM Bumper (notice how it impaled itself on the lower arm)
    Main chassis
    Top plate
    Bulkhead
    Shock shaft end link
    Fiberglass tie bar cracked
    Toe links - bent
    Camber links - bent
Lower arm pivot pins - bent
4 Top plate screws - bent
Bell crank pivot screws - bent

Believe it or not the bell cranks lived and so did the original Traxxas lower arms.

Of coarse I did for th A-arms, but it's also how I ended up with a Predator chassis. If your break upgrade!!!! I had one set of A-arms in my pit box but both front lowers were shot. RPM did replace them. Great service!!!, the tranny, brake assy, cooling head, pinions and other stuff came out of my wallet.... It was a painful crash and I had a state race in 2 weeks from that. I had my Predator together the night before the races and got 4 hrs sleep. Coffee Coffee Coffee....

Compared to what I've seen on this site, not really. Judging by the few reactions, maybe it is. I just figure that at least it was fixable with about $50 in parts and it wasn't my 1:1 car!

I had one last weekend, not too bad, but annoying none the less. I was running high speed loops in an empty parking lot, and doing donuts. At one point I looked back at the wife and asked her to look at the crazy jato donut-ness and I see a blur spin under the car, hear a loud bang, and still hear the engine running on the other side of the car. Ended up denting the header, breaking the tranny case, the diff case, the rear shock tower, shearing the head off the 3x10mm screw that holds the rear shock tower on, and marring up my read right shock a bunch...

Then I got the "what the heck are you doing?!" look from the wife...

    Barely anything?

How about it has NOTHING to do with this thread, and in fact most would consider it a hijack. I will also point out that the vid also has nothing to do with Traxxas products, so it shouldn't be here in the first place.

But, you're only 13, so I'll cut you some slack this one time.

that was awesome! one of the lead makers of buggies/truggies right there!

(seeming Traxxas doesn't make anything 1/8 scale for buggies/truggies)

Wrong again Sparky, but better luck next time. Thank you for playing.

For your perusal: (If you have to look up that word, that's OK, I forgive you).

    Alley guidelines

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hey folks,

There seems to have been some confusion lately about whether or not RC-related threads are fit for the Alley. When possible, post things related to Traxxas RCs in their respective subforums. It's fine to post them here if they're sufficiently non-tech-related and don't fit into an existing thread in that model's subforum (i.e., "Would a Jato or Revo be better for my goals?"), but double-check first! However, other manufacturers' products remain excluded.

i hit a guy in the back of the ankle with it..>_< luckily he was ok...however..my truck was not...

and there's no antennae because it got ripped out from the RX while sliding on it's roof for a good 25ft

Here is a pic of my 4-tec body that slid rear end into a curb. Bad thing was that I had just painted that body a few days prior.
