ESC dead ? (almost new !)

    Hi !

I'm writing from Switzerland so please excuse my english

I've had problems with my esc from almost the beginning.
    I run 6S 5250 mah maxamps batteries.

Firstly my esc from time to time didn't power up when I switched the esc on.
No idea why, I had to put it from off to on two or three times in a row to power it up...

Secondly my fan died a week ago.. It refuses to start when powering up the esc..

Yesterday I was bashing (not intensively...) when suddenly my esc stopped !
I was unable to switch it on... Not a problem of overheating I'm sure !

I thought about the switch that could be faulty (a recurring problem it seems..) so I soldered the connectors together.

Now when I plug the batteries the esc blink a few times (all the colors leds lit up) and then nothing (no lights, no steering, no throttle). The receiver flashes two or three times green and then nothing...

I should mention that my esc works perfectly when connected to my PC with the castle link...

Do you have any idea ??

    Thank you very much

    Alexandre (Switzerland)

Do you get the cell count beeps that tell you how many cells you are running? If so, do you get the arming beeps a couple seconds later, when the ESC arms and is ready to go?

This may not help, but I had a problem with my ESC, it was making funny noises, & not giving me the full tones on start-up, I found the problem was that my steering servo were faulty, & were somehow 'shorting' the ESC, via the RX. Changed servos, everything OK.

Unplug servos from RX, see if that makes a difference.

There is only one beep when I plug the batteries... esc flashes all lights for one second and then nothing (no lights on, no steering, no throttle)

I'm considering sending the esc back to castle for repair (under warranty I hope because only one month old )

You'll need to contact Castle regarding this issue.
