dutch, we're talking about backyard tracks. That is nice enough to be a track in the GCS(Georgia Championship series). Seriously, that is a very sick track

Just a few military guys trying to past the time while deployed. Here is a few pictures of our track at Al Asad, Iraq. It may not be the best but we did what we could with what we had to work with. Hope you enjoy and comments are welcome.

Looks like you guys are having fun. I love your lighting set up. It is awsome seeing what type of tracks you guys are building over there. Just hope the next track you guys build is here back home in the states.
oh and what does that sign say in the 4th pic down?

The picture in the middle of the track is the RC Pro symbol. All of the signs I painted myself. This track was all made by hand.
This was the track brand new but after last winter the far wall went to peaces.
wall went bye bye
now the track will be a lot more fun and challanging. Still got more work to do yet and pipeing to get. I have my other track for jumps and what not. This track seems to work pretty well with the little duratrax too. But it is a lot of fun with the stock slash.

Man, that track is SWEET! I'm glad to see you guys havin some fun while you're protecting and serving. You guys ALL kick butt and we thank you for what you're doing. The painted signs are a nice touch. And I do believe I saw a sweet driver's stand in the form of a multi tire vehicle with rails on top in the background of one of your picksOriginally Posted by Hitaslice

Coodows (is that how its spelt??) on this thread. My 2 sons and I just started building our track today. Looked over here to get some fresh ideas, great move- one stop shop!! I have a couple of T-maxx's, buddy has a stampede and a sport. Should result in hours of fun. I guess its time for a slash- for the track. Any suggestions on my next truck?? I want it geared for the track. I'll try to post some pics(if i can remember to take some) on our progress. Can't wait. Cheers!
First off to you and all your buddies over there, THANK YOU for serving our country. I do appreciate the sacrifice you all make for us.Originally Posted by Hitaslice

2nd place is 1st loser......
so are you guys bringing dirt in or just killing the grass? I don't know if I should get topsoil, fill dirt (clay and sand like they use on the highway) or just kill the grass I have.

Alright a looks like it's been awhile since anyone posted by a few days, just curious is anyone is close to me?! These all are sweet tracks, and there's mainstream tracks an hour away, but a backyard track is just freakin awsome!
I've been trying to get people together to help me make one or find a place to make one but everyone around here flakes out it seems when it comes down to labor. So I'm trying to make one at work, very slick pavement which is going to be topped off with astro turf type carpet. My job has the industrial size rolls literally 50 by 500 feet and about 8 different colours. But like I said people flake so nothing happens. Any good suggestions or close by locations? Vacaville, Vallejo, Benicia, Fairfield?
Traxxas should just cash my checks for me
this is an inspiring thread- nice tracks guys. i have a 60'x120' section on the lower part of my property plotted out for a track but it's been too wet to do anything yet this spring. hoping i can get started in a few weeks, i have a horse buried right in the middle of it was thinking of making a jump right over him and calling it dead horse table top.

this thread is great!- I'm working on a back yard track with a stream and steep bank on one side and green acres/brush on the other- I started with all closely mowed grass- but too bumpy - so I bought a solid roto tiller and have worked 1/3 of the area into a dirt oval w/3 jumps. I plan to run my 1:10's but also want to get my grandsons into the sport so I'm thinking of buying a used pair of 1:18's - any track building thoughts? The space is about 100' X 40'= I'd like to stay all natural- dirt and grass etc.- I'll take some pics when the sun comes out again-

Funny how I cant keep an updated picture up... here is one update back on our track... which is actually getting ready to go through another huge update adding a drivers stand and a couple new sections... the track length is going to get lengthened by almost 1/2 its current length....

Here's mine. Still have to make the driver's stand. And the middle double will be changed to a smaller double with a couple more jumps around the turn. It's a blast that me and my wife drive daily. I can use my revo electric conversion on 4s lipo around the whole track non stop without one crash in 23 minutes on a 5000mah packs. i timed it and that was my fastest with jumping and clearing every jump. My wife can do it in about 35 minutes and crashes about 5 times. Not bad for a women tho.
