    Might be an ancient thread, but if we dedust it a bit the info is still golden.

    I unmounted my braces and took a pic:

    The markings on the background are 1cm wide.
    Notice that the braces normally come with three holes on each sides. I cut them down a bit and widen the shock mounting holes from 2.5 to 3mm to match the YR shock mounting screws.

    lol, funny to see this thread resurface I am happy you like it!

    2 and half year later, this setup is still on my MERV! Ok I have not run it for 6 months, but it's still my setup of choice for the front. For the rear I prefer the quad shock mod...

    As requested, here are a couple of videos with this mod on ;

    Take care

    Thanks guys. If only I would have more time to do video editing... I always bring the GoPro when I go run my RC`s, but I mainly extract photo snapshots from the clips.

    This revived thread is giving me a push to wrench on my 2nd MERV and bring it back in RTR state . I stopped on my last rebuild when I realized that the quad shock setup would not fit with a 540 motor...

    Heya Papino, I remember seeing this when you posted it, and did a google search for "quad shock mod traxxas" and came right here.

    I'm building my FPV Summit and will have extra weight and this mod came to mind! Have you had any issues at all with it? I'm about to order two more sets of shocks if not! *cheers

    (could you PM me, so I don't forget to check this thread?)

    No issues what's so ever. Go for it on your Summit FPV (I love FPV projects, give me a link to your build, I will follow it)

    The only down side is that it takes a bit longer to change pinions.

    Extra info. I am using HR rear rockers installed upside down up front. I also have the T-Bone plate installed. I can run with large tires no problem. Also my MERV weight a ton. lol.

    I have not been visiting this site much over the last year. I noticed that other people have the yeah racing shock installed as well there is more then one way to acheived the results.

    Good luck
