It's good that it comes with VXL, so I have a RC to use in winter. And then a MMM for spring purchase. Would you have to use a single 4s or 6s battery?

I dont think there would be any way to keep it from going airborn on MMM and 6s, i run 4s in my rc8 and rc8t with the Mamba and THEY have a hard time staying controllable... but mebbe the tekin rx8 kit and get a 1700 or 1900 kit would be a blast, wonder how bad it would change the balance as far as in the air, cuz those motors are HEAVY...

i really hope they stay under the $350 mark or offer a roller as well. i'm not a huge fan of the V system but i'm really into this build. i'd love to drop a MMM or tekin combo in this thing.

hopefully some retailers will offer some rollers on ebay around Christmas or i'll just buy it and sell the radio gear.

It will be very very very very very very very very expensive with the added cost of all the really cool hop ups that Traxxas already came up with.

What better move to make than to bring out a 4wd version to make up $ lost over the Slayer and the 16th scale model?
    Good move Traxxas.

Make up the money? The 2WD Salsh paid for the 4WD Slash's development easily. The Revo series paid for the Slayer easily.

I am still shocked the 4WD Slash is pretty much all new.

if its over $600!!! i will only see it in my dreams.
but i am willing to pay up to $400ish if i really like it after i
    see it in person.
BTW, we need to come up w/a nickname for the Slash.
im thinking "4Slash". its not the greatest, but can you do better?

i'd like to see aftermarket upgrades:
    realistic rollcage
    driver kit
    light kit
    4x4 BackSlash
just to name a few. IMO i think 40mph is fast enuff.
anything faster just leads to a trip to the LHS.

I'd say $400 ish after tax would be a very good deal considering all of the great gear that comes in it.... who else could offer a brushless 4wd short course rig with a decent battery pack and a 2.4ghz radio for under $400 ? In this economy we need to keep our hobby strong and Traxxas is doing just that, just think of the new class that just opened up and that will stimulate all hobby stores especially ones with tracks that will run this class "out of the box". Great job Traxxas ! PLEASE KEEP IT UNDER $400
