The Traxxas thrust bearing grease is basically the same as the Associated Black Grease.Pretty much everyone I know that has a ball diff uses Associated Stealth Lube and Black Grease,no matter what brand vehicle they own. They have always seemed to have the best lubes for diffs.

What are you using the grease for? Is it for the thrust bearing in a ball diff?

No.The Hawk and Hawk2 originally came with a planetery diff.It may have been upgraded to a ball diff at some point if you bought it used.If it's a planetary diff,go ahead and use automotive bearing grease.

Thanks for your help. The hawk is getting a few major rebuilds. Motor is next on the list.
