I see the great and powerful Traxxas has invented a new transparent plastic for chassis parts. BTW my buddy got a set of those original Mashers for his RC10GT years ago and they were horrible on all surfaces. Good luck, Hopefully the 4WD will help.

Just chiming in on the mashers. I've been running them all around on my slash...the M3 compound, and they hook up GREAT everywhere. Asphault offroad, mud, and grass. They don't even show any wear and I run 75% of the time on asphault. And I love that lite weight chassis!

i figured so. all the threads i searched said they similar to the m2ks, but didn't last as long.

these are M2's. i got them over the m2ks cuz they look better and aren't so common.

I love mine and they're great. I got the M3 because I run on pavement so much. But with how these do I can only imagine how good the M2 version does offroad

The old mashers are not m2 compound. The m2ks with m2 are both stickier and way longer wearing(x10 at least). I had them on this truck and it was impossible to get any rear traction on any surface with the masher in rear and masher 2k in front with a 19 turn:

My mashers on my slash hook up great. They tend to take a while to warm up now sinces it's getting real cold here in Indy but after about 10 minutes or so they glue the truck to the ground. I can't get them to spin or the front to slide no matter what. Even when wet they still manage to grip really good. Again, I'm running M3 Masher 2000

Masher 2000 are great, and the m3 have too much traction, but the old mashers are pretty much just a good looking tire that wears fast and provides little traction. Look awesome mounted to traxxas all stars though.
