    Hot Racing shock towers

Hey guys, has anyone else got a pair of Hot Racing aluminium shock towers?
I just bought a Hot Racing rollcage and it doesn't reach between the 2 shock towers, it's a tad short, so I'm thinking the shock towers must have a slight lean in one direction and I've installed them facing the wrong way.
    Is that right?
I'm thinking they must lean in which would give me the little bit extra distance I need.
But before pulling everything apart I thought I'd ask.

I don't think the shock towers can be installed backwards....

Hope you had a great ANZAC Day yesterday!

Maybe your chassis/tub or bulkheads are slightly bent/flexed?
Can you "squeeze" it in to fit the rollcage?

Wait... is this for your "Ultimate" Slash? If yes, I thought the Hot Racing rollcage was made for the LCG chassis....

they make a HCG version, i know because i bought my friend one...with that being said, i think the shock towers sit back a bit or are not as thick...i always see guys using adapter plugs (i think they come with the tower) to reach the top shock mount properly (hopefully that makes sense, i dont have them but anyones pictures i have seen they have a plastic spacer between the shock and the tower mount) - so with that maybe the holes are farther away now and as such the cage doesnt fit...can you take a photo and post, this is very interesting to me as i have that cage and was thinking about towers possibly

might have to fab up an adapter

Thanks guys, I bought the LCG version cage so it should fit as yes it's for my Ultimate.
I didn't get any spacers though just a pack of bolts to attach it with.
About to go to work so when I get home I'll post some pics up.

That is the right part number for the LCG/Rally chassis.

Hope you can fab something up to get it to work.
    Good luck!

Your rear shock tower didn't come with a couple small spacers for the rear bottom mount.
There used to tilt the tower or clearance for the rear camber arms.
Now I never got the HR towers but my STRC towers came with them in both cases.

Finally got it on, ended up moving the front plate up one notch.
So only one screw holding the front plate instead of two.
Not entirely happy with that but it's a tight fit so the structural pressure should hold it together.
    It feels really firm.
