Is any one runninig 1 x 2cell with 1x 3 cell total 5 cell lipo in their e Maxx

Is this possable do the brand C rating and mah have to match

Also which brand of bats are you using

Yes it's possible, depending on the ESC if it can handle 18.5V+
About whether the mah and brand have to match...........well if you care for your batteries then yeah they should match. If you have one battery that is 500mah less than the other, the lesser one will go flat quicker and quite likely ruin it. Depends how you have your LVC set. If it were me, I'd get a low voltage alarm that plugs into the balancing port of the battery and monitors each cell in the whole pack. When just one cell gets below the set level an alarm will sound. Assuming you stop when you hear the alarm, everything should be fine. Something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/7-4V-14-8V-RC-Li...item5638522f17 would do the trick if you plan on running two different mah packs and from different brands.

I'm using 2x 2S GE power lipos 4000mah from feebay. They aren't too bad. When they die I won't buy more of them, simply because equal batteries, or better even, can be bought cheaper.

That for sure 2s+3s will balance your e-max more than 2x3s or 2x2s.

put the 2s in motor side and the 3s in the other.
you have to use same brand, mah, and c battery. here is the example for what i use:

A lot of people used to complain that the EVX2 wouldn't run right away
on two freshly charged 2S packs. They would have to rock the steering
back and forth to discharge the packs alittle, then the motor would run.

Iam running a tekin RX8 2250 dont want to run 6s as it will stress the truck and ESC to much but want more speed than 4s
