I don't have a 4x4 slash or I would be posting videos of it hydroplaning. Anyone up for it?
I have monkeys dancing in my pants!!!
it does it kind of.
I have only done it with small puddles (thats all we have right now)
Well if you come across any big puddles and try, film it, that would be cool, maybe we can get a contest goin of who can do the biggest puddle. haha

Hi, I did hydroplane (didn't know it was called that) on water with my Slash 2WD.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VQKrAiI4qc
Setup was Hobbywing 60A and 3300kv motor, 3S 4900mAh. It went very well.
Too bad I didn't had the chance to try it with the later 4000kv motor I had, that was wild.
I have 4xSling Shot's to my PE that I will try to hydroplane.![]()

Do these trucks still work after sinking? I know the electronics are "waterproof", but other than the obvious post-water maintenance (drying under a fan, cleaning bearings, re-oiling) what else would you have to do to keep from killing the truck? My neighbor has a pond that would be perfect for attempting hydroplaning. I have only had mine Slash for a couple of months, so it will be a while before i get the guts to try it, but it looks like a blast!
make sure the rx box is sealed GOOD. i also put holes in the center of the tread to get any water out of the tires that may get in

Thanks for the tips. I can't wait to give it a try.
if you are going into deep water make sure the truck will float i tied 2 baseball size balloons to the battery strap and one to each shock tower. 2 was enough but i used 4 to be safe. the pond i was running in is 20'+ deep
