I am going through cheap CVD's all the time. Traxxas CVD's look really strong and nicely made, but MIP makes really high quality parts. I just need something that will stand up to hard bashing and a MMM and CC neu on 4 or 5s lipo. Does anybody have suggestions? Other better brands? Thanks![]()
Definitely not MIP (BTDT)
I can't speak about the Traxxas CVDs however (never used them). Seems several in the E-revo section have been happy with them. There are some reports of them bending in a crash though, where the stock plastic shafts would be fine.
Traxxas is the best way to go i run my BL on 4s and no problems. And yes mip is good but they bend easier. Usually only in a crash will the traxxas ones bend cause they are thicker than MIP.

Thanks! Traxxas seems like the better choice... so i guess thats what i am going to get untill i can find some UE ones.
Not just bend, but actually twist and break off lol.Originally Posted by J-DUB
They would also wear at a very fast rate too (like the metal wasn't heat-treated real well).
Yeah i know its happened to me so i wont get MIP stuff anymore.
