What do I need to charge two of these http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=59 with this http://www.*********.com/*********/s...rger_1-5_Cells
pm me with what BRUSHED motor for rusty
depends, the description on ********* doesn't really say what charge leads it comes with, but it probably comes with a deans connector as most do. But if your going to be using a traxxas connector you will need this
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVPF2&P=ML or one like it. 4mm banana plugs to traxxas connector.
if it doesn't come with a deans connector and you plan to use deans you will need this
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVJW1&P=ML
there are other type of connectors as well, but I know nothing about them as I only use deans and traxxas connectors.

thanks. It is a balancer also. or will I need one?
pm me with what BRUSHED motor for rusty
Also don't forget you will also need the power supply. Can't do much without it. I know a few people over look the fact that it doesn't come with the power supply. My brother ordered a charger from ********* and overlooked that fact and found out when he got the charger and I told him they don't come with one.
you'll need a parallel or series adapter to connect the 2 batteries together to charge at the same time. The adapter will depend on how you want to charge. You'll need a balance adapter so that you can balance both batteries. You'll also need a power supply to power that charger.

I have the ******* accucel 6 with is basically the same charger, it also has the ports built in. I love this charger, it rocks.

Have you already purchased both of these items?Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2
I will say if your not racing, you can't go wrong with using the ******* or ***** batteries that you can get at *********. I have a mix of both and they are great batteries. Got them with the accucel 6.
http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.htmlYou may want to take a look at this at hobbypartz it is ac ready cheaper shipping. The have good lipo's also.
Opienva1- so that needs nothing to use correct? (p.s. I am racing)

Since you're racing, does your track require hard cased lipos or roar approved lipos?Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2

Pretty much by racing i mean charging that 5000 2s. 3 times every wed. (no any battery)

Are you participating in a racing series or something similar? I'm trying to understand your situation and be able to comment. My son and I went thru this type of scenario this summer and it would of been a huge help if I had asked more questions and understood the setup before showing up to race. We weren't prepared the first week.Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2

I have ******* and ***** lipos and they've been great. The down side to that lipo is that they're never in stock. I've been waiting for 4-5 weeks to place an order for that one. How long are the races?Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2
You realize that you'll need 2 for the emaxx right?Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2
yea. I wuz not clear my bad... I will get a setup for my rustler. and if I like it I will get another for an emaxx

how long are the races? 2 rounds of qualifying and the main?Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2
you just need a balancer connecter

* you must know what is the balancer tab you have in the lipo
* your charger is just 50w so its hard to charge 4s 5000mah at 5A

with practice before qualifying, you could probably race with 2 batteries and not have to worry about charging at the track. You could practice on one battery and qualify on the other while the first battery is topping off. The downfall to that charger is that you're limited to 50w, but that won't matter if you have 2 batteries.Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2
I have two practice batts. right now i'm using a 4600 enger g nihm. I will use the lipo only for the races. so i just need it to stay charged

The only issue I see is the difference in weight and discharge rate of nimh vs lipo. In practice, you'll have the heavier less punchy nimh battery. In qualifying/race you'll have the lighter more punchy lipo. The truck will accelerate, drive & jump different with the 2 different batteries. Just a thought!Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2
I dont really worry all that much about practice. As I am quite familiar with the track. also. is it ok for the lipo to sit for a week.

whenever I'm done running for the day I put a storage charge on my lipos. lipos should not be stored at full charge or at the lvc.Originally Posted by brushedmaxx2
storage charge?
pm me with what BRUSHED motor for rusty
I use a ******* accucell-6 charger and it has a storage charge mode. It balance charges/discharges each cell to 3.8v for a pack total of 7.6v. The charger that you referenced in your first post of this thread probably has that feature. The accucell-6 is less money and has an internal fan when compared to the b5 charger otherwise they're probably identical.
so u just keep the pack plugged in?
pm me with what BRUSHED motor for rusty
no, once it's done with the storage charge it'll shut off and then I unhook them and leave them in the lipo sack. In the summer, we use them weekly but in the winter we don't therefore I check the voltage every couple weeks and cycle them when needed. Lipos don't self discharge nearly as quick as a nimh.
o ok thanx alot. so Everything i need to complete is this

you don't need the balance connector as the charger you referenced has built in balance ports. You'll need a power supply for that charger and traxxas connectors for that battery. Pickup a lipo sack while you're at it so you don't burn the house down.
power supply as in house plug in? or gel cell.
pm me with what BRUSHED motor for rusty
that's up to you. I like the 110v power supplies but if you're not near electricity, the gel cell would come in handy.
wait, do I need to do anything with discharging. cuz that might get confusing.

I don't understand your question.
do i have to do any discharging?
pm me with what BRUSHED motor for rusty
The only discharging that I do is when I use the storage mode.
can i plug it directly into a wall or do i need somthing do connect to the wall and then into the charger?
