    FLM Chassis

my e maxx needs a new body but i need to know will the body holes line up with the body posts if i switch from the stock chassis to a FLM chassis
also how well are the stock battery hold downs on the FLM chassis do they hold good cause everyone i see with this chassis has diffrent battery hold downs and i would like to use the stock ones but not if my lipos are going to fly out LOL
    thanks

yes it lines up. alot of people use different straps because with the FLM straps the batteries tend to move in head on collisions. I havent had any problems with em but I run usually at the skateparks where there isnt much to have a head on collision with.

Actually the holes will be slightly off cause the chassis is a few millameters longer.

i hold my ***** lipo like that

and here with my hard case lipo

    and its work for me

the old body 3096 will need to drill new holes. i dont have the 3095 but I used their body and its direct fit
the one on the right with new emaxx 3095 body (direct fit with FLM chassis) and on the left has revo 3.3 body (come without holes so i drill the holes to fit FLM chassis)

The holes should line up fine, the FLM Chassis is a bit longer but I have swapped around the bodies from my stock to the FLM and there are fine.

I lot of people on here use Battery trays, I think it s the best way to go, it not only give more protection to the batteries but it also keeps them in place when you crash.

Not sure about the battery trays. I have 2S 5000 Mah Hard Case and they'd fit, but I dont know if 8000 Mah are longer?? My Batts are about 136mm in Lenght. Do you have the batteries already?? If so then just measure them, the tray dimensions are there.

I used these trays with SPC 8000mAh 2s packs (p8) and GP 3300mAh stick packs (p5) : http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=419028 (all the mods I made to mount these trays are explained).

Note: it seems that the New Era Models battery trays are discontinued...
