why would they waste the money and time on r/d on an 1/8 brushless when they can just slap a castle on there. i bet traxxas is paying a quarter of what we would pay for a castle esc/motor to use on their trucks

Why did they waste the time developing the EVX2 when they were using the Novak EVX? Why did they waste the time to develop the TQ radios when they were using Futabas? Because thier customers want them and they'll make more money by making it themselves.
