GPS suggestions

Anyone have recommendations on GPS systems? I was looking at towerhobbies and found a data recorder that Eagle Tree Systems has:

it does take a GPS module input but the total is about $200 (module and data recorder combined) : /

walmart has cheap gps systems you can use to track speed and whatnot, if thats what your after. i actually use my blackberry storm phone to record max speed.

Hmm, I guess I should have asked the person who posted a pic earlier, but now I don't remember if it was in this forum hehe. It gave information like run time, max speed, average speed, distance traveled, I think it gave latitude and longitude information as well - I got the idea it was mounted to the vehicle. Anyway, yeah I'll try out wal mart. I saw some $60 on ebay too but they don't give all the stuff I listed.

if the gps unit can "track" or create a "track log" then it'll record avg speed, max speed, distance gone. latitude and longitude is pretty much a given on a gps unit.

I also use my blackberry. The program is called GPS'ed lite and it is free. It gives track points max speed average speed map etc. It works with a bunch of other phones also. pretty much any smart phone or iphone.

actually the one i use is blackstar, i think its more efficient then gpsed lite plus blackstar also supports geocaching, another one of my hobbies I also forgot to mention traek that venom makes a speed module that monitors all the basic functions you just listed, avg speed, max speed, time, and distance, and i think it's only like 40 bucks.

That a picture of the screen from a Garmin 205 GPS. Got it on sale when I was in Florida. Somewhere around $70.

i use the garmin geko 101.... its a real old gps but but it does max speed so its great. and its waterproof. 40 bucks is what i got mine for. link to ebay.

i love it because its small and light, and straps to my lipo
