traxxas is rolling out new radio system to more trucks!
that means we should be able to get it CHEAPER soon if you want one!

Wish it was the 2.4 HQ, but hey it works well, plus those spektrum receivers are soo expensive. Don't see the 1/16 Slash in there hopefully just a mistake

That really upsets me!
I have a Bandit vxl thats only a few months old and then they add this radio after I buy it.
why traxxas, why?
not that I don't want this to be added to the Bandit/Rustler/Stampede, it's just that it had to be added after I bought mine

Hate to say this but Traxxas is the hobby version of Apple. As soon is you buy it it is outdated.
Would like to see the Summit shipped with one of these however...ENJOY the hobby, don't HATE it.

This is a great radio, by the way. I am running one on a gasoline powered car, and I really love the feel and the light weight (4 AA's instead of 8). I only wish I could dis-able the failsafe.

If you guys want a cheap single radio the Spektrum dx3e is a pretty slick unit for 99 shipped -8% cashback off fleebay. Comes w/ tx/rx/servo. As far as traxxas dropping to just 1 2.4ghz radio.. it's about time and most likely cheaper w/o messing w/ crystals and such two designs two sets of parts etc... the link tech is pretty cool though w/ the model memory which by the way the 3e doesn't have included.

The DX3E looks so cheap imo. I have a DX3S but Id rather have the entry level Airtronics of Futaba 2.4 than the 3E for just looks alone. Originally Posted by 8ight-e

That will happen in the next year or so because Losi is doing it with several models and many planes and helis are now coming RTF or BNF.VXL Amsoil 2WD Slash/ PE 4x4 Slash/ BL recoil

I have a dx3r and the dx3e for a spare if I want to let someone run one of my vehicles while I am driving (two kids) etc.. 3e works well. It doesn't look bad by any stretch and it works great iMO. Its nice because they both are about the same size and run on 4aa batts so it's easy to use 1 box to store both radio's and my charger/PS in for transport. Originally Posted by Jason_garrison

Ya I wish my 16th revo and slash were 2.4ghz. Have to stop the kids from running their cars when i'm on the computer since the 24mhz radios mess up my wireless mouse..

the new 2wd slash comes with pretty much everything that a 4x4 rtr comes with except the velineon system and of course 4 wheel drive ability!
traxxas sure knows how to push sales but at the same time, we 4x4 owners dont feel special anymore...
