    Extreme snow in the forecast!

So on Friday night, it is supposed to start snowing worse than the snow right before Christmas. We (Southern Maryland) are supposed to be getting 3-4 FEET of snow. I heard from people that they are bringing in the National Guard to help with it. It's time to go grocery shopping and go to the P.O. Box and get my mail so my trucks can be in tip top shape . Charging my batts up on my Summit, for when it's about 4 inches of snow, after that, the Summit gets a bit tired. Anyone else ready for the snow they say were going to get?

It snowed last night as well, got about 3-4 inches. A few days before that we got 3-4 inches. I love a snowy winter.

I'm ready for it. Bring it on. Time to relax and drink some hot chocolate .

    my local forecast :

ACCUMULATIONS... THIS STORM IS LIKELY TO PRODUCE 12 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW IN THE WATCH AREA... WITH A GOOD CHANCE FOR LOCALIZED AMOUNTS OVER 20 INCHES.

Every news channel in Baltimore has said that we might get 12" but read the above website for more insight! LOL. It says to be ready to be held up in the house for 3-5 Days.

Looks like the snow is gonna just miss me. 30% chance

Winter for us has been total crap. Extremely cold and hardly any snow.We usually get feet of snow this time of the year. I love snow too.

I gotta stop looking at the forcast. It just tickes me off.

Weather forecasting is a somewhat inexact science. At two days out, or one day now, I think it's still a little early to be calling out the National Guard.

FWIW, Thursday afternoon they're saying this:
"A band of moderate to occasionally heavy snow will develop later this afternoon around the Saint Louis area then stretch eastward reaching the Indianapolis area overnight then as far east as Pittsburgh by Friday.

This area of real-estate will end up with four to as much as eight inches of snow by the time the snow ends from west to east Friday night through midday Saturday.

As impressive as these forecasted snowfall amounts may be they will pale into comparison to what is going to fall in Northern Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania and south Jersey.

Over a foot of snow is likely to fall in the Beltway of Washington and Baltimore by Saturday evening.

Across the region around the northern Chesapeake Bay and Delaware Bay, some locations could top 2 feet of snow.

Heavy snow will extend as far north as Philadelphia where 6 to 12 inches of snow is possible by the time all is said and done.

New York City and Long Island are expected to see some snow and accumulations there could wiggle up into the 3-to-6-inch range if the storm even vacillates slightly northward."

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

They updated my forcast. Not getting a flake of bloody snow. Everything is just to the south.

How the heck is it that NYC/NJ is getting MORE SNOW than upstate NY. That is so messed up.

Im in northern NJ, and the state is giving a winter storm warning but the weather channel shows that we will have a little bit of snow. I guess a little is better than none. I want to drive my slash in the snow.

Just before noon and the snow has commenced here in MD. Looks like it won't get bad until later tonight, but you'd think that the end of the world was coming if, like me, you went to the grocery store yesterday--the shelves were pretty bare, to say the least.
Looks like we should be getting about 20 inches or so when all is said and done. It may not be the 3-4 foot snow of biblical proportions that they were initially talking about, but it's still going to be a good one. Something's not right when Baltimore has gotten more snow this year than Albany, NY has. ...Now if I could just remember where I put my snowshoes.
