    "thin" PE shells?

    doesn't seem any thinner than the 6811 clear shell

    went around with my calipers, they're pretty much identical

    weighed up PE kit shell = 172g

    6811 fresh out of bag = 170g ... that was before i cut 4 holes into it too

    PE doesnt have a different shell.. LOL.. its just clear.


    HERE is the parts list for PE.. body is 6811.

    Thinner if you count the Paint thickness.. lol

    the problem folks were having was the PE was originally advertised as having .060 plastic, thicker than the rtr. we later (after ordering) found out otherwise. at least that's my memory of it.

    thats how i remember it as well, i remember seeing .060 and thinking wow thats like monster truck thickness

    probably a ad dept typo then hey?

    would be nice if there was a heavy-duty version of the 6811

    also if u compare the original to the 4wd the body lines are different which make the original more rigid

    they are pretty flimsy. i used a brand new pe body and it was all beat up after the first qualifying round.
