I have been told that I need Calibers or bowties for my local track. What is the best rims and where is the best place to get them on-line?

I wouldn't use beadlocks for racing (too heavy). The Stock wheels are fine. Or

I just purchased these the other day. Not sure you can beat the price.

Wow, thats pretty good. Even tower has it for $26, $3 more. I like the design of the split six more than my jconcepts rulux wheels too. Cool.Originally Posted by David_D.

Say no to beadlocks. They will come off the bead during normal use...racing or bashing. If you call proline and complain they will tell you they are not designed for that application.
I'd go with premounts on the proline split 6 rims. 28 bucks a pair.
Soft for racing medium for bashing.

I was going to say the same thing... I've practiced with my split six and have had no issues. Now for racing I use a one piece glueable split six for weight savings. But like the beadlocks for testing a new tire on a track before actually gluing and mounting.
Glad to hear you guys are having good luck with the beadlocks.
Yup. Wheels and tires are the absolute worst place to add weight if you wanna go fast. It's all about rotational mass. Now for racing I use a one piece glueable split six for weight savings
The issue with the premounts from proline is they use the standard foams.. which arent really bad, but not as good in most cases as the closed cell foams...

I have not had a single issue with my first pair of beadlocks, and I am about due for tires. Glad I didn't listen to the nay-sayers. Aside from the weight, they have been awesome to use.
