    "Scale" Ford Raptor 4x4

Ok, here goes. Start of the project I hope. I'm going to be building a "Scale" Slash 4x4 project modeled after the raptor seen here: http://www.fordvehicles.com/f150raptor .

    List of parts as follows:

    Proline Switches

    RPM Narrow Wheelbase Revolvers: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTAE6&P=7

    Proline Ford F-150 body

    Custom Decals

    RPM lightbars

    RPM Front bumper

Should be relatively simple once I get the parts on my hands (if possible). My only question is that it says the Revolvers fit on the slash with slight modification. What is this "slight modification"? Thanks, comments/suggestions welcome.

check this thread out, it shows and tells you how to make a 2.2 wheel fit the 4x4 slash.

Ok, thanks. I may have to rethink wheel choice now though, widened stance is not what I was after.....

Found these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXYSD0&P=V . They are sc wheels so not wide like the RPM revolvers, they match the style of the Baja Raptor, and the black chrome is a nice touch IMO

Anyone know anything about the Proline Switches (M2)? I might pick some up, tire choice is really hard.... Bowties and Calibers aren't exactly scale looking, and the bf goodrich mud a/t s1 tires aren't the best for racing.

Ok, the Ford body should be in stock soon, but I need a good orange (in rattle can form). Anyone know of a matching color? My lhs doesn't have ANY oranges, and from online its kinda hard to tell.

Are you going to use the SC version of the 150 or the normal 1/10?

Well, its the new proline F-150 body for the slash. So yeah, probably the SC version. The other one makes the slash look like a MT. I hate Monster Trucks.

Yea that second one has never looked right, the roof line is not in proporation with the rest of the body, it's too low.

Yup. Parma one is never going to be released, and the jconcepts one is a monster truck body . I'm going to have some decals made to replicate the Raptor that was raced in the Baja 1000. Proline body looks the best IMO.

I finished one of my two Raptor bodies. Here's a couple pics.

I painted it DSG as I had a feeling they would make it in Silver sooner or later!

And well thank you Ford for doing so come 2011! Even can get it as a Super Crew now. But I'm going for the Scab in Silver with the 6.2L !!!!!!!

So yea the next body will be silver with custom decals to look as scale as I can get it.

Does anyone know what rims and tires is on Mr. Extreme's nice Grey Ford Raptor Body, I sent a pm asking and got no response, I was just curious, they look like RPM rims (I didn't know RPM's would fit over the Slash axle carriers), but I'm not sure about the tires???

No, the rims Mr. Extreme's truck has 8-holes and the RPM rims have 10-holes, that is why I was asking, because it looks that they fit without any mods to me, I don't know that's why I'm asking and for some reason, he doesn't answer a pm.

    Proline Ford F-150 body
dont you think you'd be better off making a scale raptor if you used a raptor body and not the F150 body??
