I got a used 3906 not too long ago and I melted the spur gear pretty quickly. What is the easiest way to install the traxxastorque control clutch and what parts do I need?
The input shaft to the transmission is hexagonal. Do I need to replace that?

the slipper clutch is easy to install.
i am not sure what your question is ?
i have found that if you use some ca,(tire)
glue on the plate(#4622) to the other plate(#4625)
,it helps hold it on the pin that is in (#4625)
you will just need a new spur gear and some new slipper
pegs, you dont replace the shaft (unless its broke) or the
steel plates .you want it a little bit loose so that it will
take the punishment instead of your trans and drivelines
you need a small amount of clearance between the spur
and the pinion gears ,you can do this with a piece of paper
between them as you adjust the motor pinion into the spur!!
Sorry, I meant to say the "torque control" clutch with the 3 pads on it.
