What do you mean by fore arms?

The upper and lower A-arms are the same, as well as the bulkheads and shock towers.

If you haven't already I recommend upgrading your axles to the 3905 style ones. You'll need the four axle carriers (knuckles), 4 axles, and 4 turnbuckles.

The arms aren't the same between the new and old E-Maxx models. The 3906 has shorter suspension arms.

The 3905/3 arms will fit on the bulkheads, but you'll need new axles, axle carriers, turn buckles, toe links.... etc.

Are you sure? Have you compared the two side by side? I have. I will say this, you are half right, the OLD 3906 E-maxx used shorter arms, but all the widemaxx arms are the same. So here you go, from left to right, 3903/5 A-arms, new 3906, and then old 3906 short arms.

If there is any doubt, I removed the 3903 arms from a truck I have. The 3906 arms were new in the sealed package (I also double checked the length with the arms on my 3906 truck), and the narrow max arms were also new in the package.

Even IF they were different, which they aren't, they would still mount up fine, and he could still use all of the 3906 axle carriers, axles, turnbuckles, etc.

The current exploded view on Traxxas' website shows they have the same arms, #5131R. So either was reading from misinformed people (I've seen people say the 3906 wasn't as wide due to shorter arms) or the 3906 got an arm upgrade.

You can disregard my first post here emaxxman2.

Also, while I had the exploded views open, I checked the towers.

The 3906 and 3905 can use the same shock towers. It appears that the 3906 had an older shock tower version (#4917X) that used round body posts. The newer shock tower design (#4917R) uses square body posts.

You can see the suspension arms are the same model numbers as well in these two views.

I edited my above post, I forgot the picture haha

You are right on the shock towers. They used to use round posts, but when the 3905 came out they used the square type ones like on the T-maxx 3.3. If you put the new shock towers on get the square body posts too, the round ones don't fit too good in the square holes. lol

Why doesn't it surprise me that someone with 'mac' in their user name has an Apple keyboard?

Alright, so what emaxxman2 needs to do is measure his suspension arms and compare the length with the 3905 arms. Then he'll know which ones he has.

The 1st 3906 model arms (on the right of the mac102004 pic) are different from all the other models (on the left).

The 3905/3906 arms are the same except that the 3905 arms have some notches to allow to use the Revo-spec driveshafts (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMJG8&P=ML) which are bigger than the 3906 ones. So of course you can use 3905 arms in a 3906 model, unless you have the 1st 3906 model.

No problem for the shock towers, but if you used the old ones with round body posts, you need square posts with the 3905 shock towers (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMJA8&P=ML and http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMJA3&P=ML).

All these models... Look at the exploded views !!
