The rustler is right between a 1/10 and 1/8 touring car so youll likely have trouble finding a body that will fit right and cover the tires. A slash is the right length to use a Kyosho Inferno GT2 or OFNA Ultra GTP size body (Protoform PF8 is a good one) and its width is perfect to tuck a set of anacondas right under the body. But a rustler is over an inch shorter than a slash so im just not sure your going to find what your looking for.
Slash with 30 series road rage tires and a protoform PF8 body

That looks ridiculously good. I'm half tempted to do a conversion for parking lot runs. I wonder how much lowering is required.

It cant work with a rustler. Its too short. If you added some length to the rustler and got the wheel base the same as the slash it would actually be BETTER than the slash as the rustler has an LCG chassis... the car you see above is a completely, %100 stock slash, shocks were lowered 1/2 inch with fuel tubing and the body posts needed to be tweaked a bit... nothing drastic. I wouldnt run the road rage tires again... id use anacondas if I had it to do over.
Other than these mods, the slash is completely stock. And, it worked really well. On a side note, if I was going to do it again, id use rustler rear arms and rustler rear offset wheels as opposed to slash rear arms and front offset wheels. The reason for this is the rustler arms have 0 toe in which would roll more smoothly... maybe a set of protrac rear arms to get less toe in... the point is that slash arms have too much toe in IMO. Anyway, easy conversion to do, fun truck/car and really fast.

Hey Lars, post up a link to your thread about stretching your rusty. That was good info.

Is it FLM thats currently working on a stretch kit for the rustler to make it the same length as the slash? Someone is anyway, which would let you use any 1/8 touring car body.

Seeing as how theres some interest, heres a video of the Slash RR in a parking lot. At the time, I was running protrac arms and 4 front wheels. This was a tad too wide for the body so the tires rubbed. I switched back to stock length arms and it was perfect. So, any body rubbing you do hear... was gone in the next revision. But I didnt get a video of that.

I havent been here in awhile but this thread made me log back in at look at your pics, that is awesome and has instilled the desire to get the cars out again! I have plenty of parking lots around but the 2 pits I bashed at last year sold out so the Rustlers have been sitting and collecting dust.

So whens that streched FLM gonna be available, I need one!
