Hi all, new here, i was lurking here for a while and decided to jump on board. I recently bought a used Slash and like any new owner of a Slash is to fix it up to your liking. So i purchased a desert rat carnage body because the previous ower hacked up the stock so bad it would flap in the wind.My question is does anybody sell front body post mounts that will raise it about a 1/2", the posts will fit in the body but only if you press the hood down far and put the clips in. I don't like the tension it puts on the clips, i tried searching but only found custom home made posts.

sounds like you drilled the body wrong

Well you could put some small spacer under the posts and use a longer screw, if you have one/can find one. Otherwise, you may have to fabricate one yourself.

EDIT: I think that it is probably pretty possible that you drilled the holes wrong.

I figured it out, i had to cut the nose of the body a 1/4", it was sitting on the two humps on the front bumper.

Yeh I had to really trim back the desert rat in the nose for the front bumper as well.

I'm still not sure if i like the desert rat carnage body. And i think it looks like a police car with the colors i picked.

might as well slap a "Traxxas Police" sherrif badge on it and run with the concept.
