Finally getting round to editing up some old stampede 4x4 running vids. This one is mostly from 2011, except for the first clip and last two clips which were from last year.

Castle MMP & 1410 3800kv, 2S 6000mAh 60C, Tekno rear shafts, Yeah Racing motor mount, main body in the vid is a J-Concepts CRT.5 body, and other than that it was stock.

Went Teknos in the front as well after this though as plastic driveshafts were harmed in the making of this video :P

This setup was prior to the one above. Same castle system but 3S 3200mAh 40C and 1/8 buggy wheels on Traxxas 17mm Hexes. Shocks lowered with 2mm front and 4mm rear internal spacers.

Latest bash video after installing the sway bars, slash chassis, blx185 esc and new body. Busted the body posts off... think I need to elongate the body mount holes so it can slide or something. Man, this thing drives night and day better. Much better in the air and far less twitchy. Although, I may increase the 300k in the center diff as it really unloads to the front tires now. However, that's probably taking some of the hit off the rear diff and making it easier to drive hard.

Running my slampede at the bmx track again. Going to take it out again today after changing the front arms to the traxxas hd ones, modifying an ackerman bar to have bearings and increasing the center diff from 300k to 500k. Just hope they mowed as we got a lot of rain the past week.

My latest with the slampede. I think I'm too used to driving my larger 6S trucks as I couldn't land the thing to save my life that day. Ended up snapping a front GTR shock shaft.

My latest from last weekend. Got some new 3.8" wheels/tires for it to try out. The larger diameter seemed to really help it run in the grass a lot better.

Made it through a couple 4S packs a couple days ago. Running RPM arms on the front, but fried a spur gear (had the mesh too loose I think), broke the front bulkhead and ripped the screws out of the remaining 2 holding the RPM tower to the bulkhead.

Not 100% sure when it broke, but I know somewhere about half way through the second pack, steering was horrible... I thought it was just the HR servo saver nut backing off.

Got it fixed up and finally got out for another run this weekend. Skate park had a snow in all the places I usually hit for big jumps, but still had a good time. Ended up frying my spur gear at a second location. Going to increase the v1 center diff from 500k to 750k. Got a HR steel spur coming in a week or so, but will likely put a plastic spur back on it for now as I have 3 or 4 spares.

I had put my old RPM arms back on the front along with the stock arm skids to help keep the shock ends from taking a beating. The HD CW arms are still on the rear and I'll stick with them until they break. Traxxas was nice enough to warranty a couple sets of orange HD CW arms that I might try again later on. Maybe I just had bad luck with those I bought.

Really love this truck on 4S!

Got out this weekend. Was right around 45F, very little snow around and the skate park was dry and empty of snow, so I was able to get some bigger jumps with it. The motor moved on me once and even 750K in the v1 center diff doesn't seem to be enough for my taste. Something sounded weird with the mesh after moving the motor back, so I'll likely tear into it this week and check it out along with cleaning the diff out and putting 1M in it. The o-rings I put in it when I put 750K in weren't the right ones. I didn't realize the center diff used smaller ones than the standard x01/stampede/revo diffs did.

No damage that I noticed and I was able to try out my new runcam 2 for onboard. The audio was horrible, so I muted it. The sound of the motor/drivetrain caused the audio to clip really bad, not sure if that's adjustable or not, but even turned down, it hurt my ears, so I muted it.

    Latest bash session:

There were quite a few guys running RC's at the grass bmx track this weekend. Was fun seeing all those trucks running around. I got there too late to see the guy who runs an xmaxx though... he broke it before I showed up. He did have a maxx 4s as well now, but was having issues with the motor/esc in it. He had replaced the stock system with a max8/2200kv 1/8th system and used the traxxas radio. He had almost no throttle response from 0-90% throttle, then it would just take off at full throttle at the last 10%. He broke it bad... nearly busted the thing in half when trying to correct from a jump. Not sure why he didn't just get another receiver for his main transmitter... he is now though. lol!

I busted another MIP male bell where the pin goes through it on the front on the stampede. Was the one I replaced last year. I had replaced the HPI 4074 2200kv Tork motor with an arrma blx 4074 2050kv and increased my pinion from 15 to 16. Also increased my center diff oil to 1M and put a HR steel spur on it. It was way quieter than I expected and it did really well.

    I really enjoy this truck!

Was able to meet up with a couple guys this weekend again. Unfortunately, I broke the stampede pretty bad early in it's run, so not much video with it. Landed badly and ripped the RPM rear tower out along with breaking the rear bulkhead.

Kind of why I always take at least 2 trucks with me.
