    Leaky shocks

Hey guys, I have the HR shock bodies with stock everything else, and they are leaking. HR bodies:

The question is, how do I keep them from leaking? Do I screw the caps on really tight, or loose? Do I need new o-rings? These are the o-rings and the piston shaft:

I noticed in the second picture there are slight scratches on the shaft. Are those causing the leakage?

Would buying a new shaft solve my issue?

I would try some teflon tape is the leak is passed threads. If it is passed the o-ring at the shaft I would replace the o-rings and inspect the shaft for linear scratches deep enough to allow leaking. If so then just buy the shock rebuild kit and a set of shafts, TiN coated if possible. But be aware these are known for leaking. I gave up and bought the GTRs.

Yeah, I think I am just gonna get the rebuild kit. Those GTRs would be real nice, but I don't have the money to spend on them. Maybe eventually I will, but I have other things I wanna get in the meantime
