    Which engine should i choose?

I am going to go to my local hobby shop because my truck wont start up and if its the motor should i get the same one which is the 2.5 or should i get more power from it the Trx 2.5 is the 3.3 easier to tune than the 2.5 or are they both the same just wondering on your opinion so that i can have a decision

I doubt your engine needs to be replaced. But as far as tuning goes, the 2.5 and 3.3 have the same carburetor and tune equally easy.
Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

I would try to do a total tare down. You might have a bad barring or worse. Before you go and spend allot of money check it all out.

any signs of ware on the crank, or looseness.look for score marks on the sleeve. If all looks good, soak in fuel for a couple of hours and reassemble.

you really have nothing to loose by doing a tare down. Besides, that's what the "hobby" is all about. Good luck...

Yes I would tear it down and also look at compression once you have it all apart try and put the piston through the sleeve if the piston goes through the top you need new motor or rebuild that one.
