    Traxxas Alum C-Hub/Steering Block w/Tekno CVD's

I thought I have heard that I can run the Tekno cvd's with the traxxas aluminum c-hubs and steering block by changing out the outer bearing on the traxxas steering block. Can anyone confirm this before I make the purchase. The plastic parts are just not working for me and keep breaking. Also what is the bearing size that I need.
    Thanks

As far as the bearing size I am using the bearings that came with the Tekno kit.
I simply opened up the outside hole by 1mm.
I do believe the others are using a 6x11x4 from Boca.

No, that uses the stock bearing. So a 6x11x14 bearing and that's it. Thanks guys. I will order both aluminum parts now from ebay and make an order to Avid bearings for bearings.

For the rear, you pretty much have to use the tekno carriers. The bearings are huge compared to stock.
    10x15 inner and 6x12 outer.
It is well worth selling your aluminum rear carriers and using the teknos. They are pretty tuff too!

I havent ever broken a tekno rear carrier. I run a 2650 motor at the bmx track with 1/8 buggy badlands tires. Landings are pretty hard at times, and they are still going

The rears are super strong. I have never broke one yet and never hear of anyone breaking them. I would say RPM parts is a little bit more durable because of the way it absorbs impacts unlike other companies which would snap.
