first break was a right front shock mount bolt. That's what happen's when you jump your slash off a skate ramp and don't realize how well it get's air born.

I didn't have any problems until my center driveshaft bearing seized up. But after that no major breaks or problems.

I broke and upgraded almost every part on the truck within 2 weeks lol. How anyone can go a year without breaking anything is beyond me. Of course I run 3s lipo and we do some serious bashing, non-stop 10 foot jumps at the BMX track, etc.

If you are not breaking parts, then you aren't bashing hard enough. MY first part broke was an a arm at the skate park. Broke it 2 days after I recieved it while making some killer video!

5 minutes after unboxing it my steering servo gave up. It's not stripped it just doesn't do anything. I tried other servos on that channel and my receiver is OK so it is definitely the servo itself. I opened it up today and a flake of solder fell out and it started working again. I drove it for a few minutes, powered it down and when I turned it back on the servo was dead again. In 15 years of RC-ing I have never had a servo just stop working let alone one that was brand new.

A-arm after many many runs - did result from glancing blow to oak tree, head ons seem to be better - less damage lol.

Had many upgrades before running, rpm's installed after this incident - no problems since ;0)

Rear stub, after I hit a block of wood WOT. Then motor mount and spur, after the POS plastic bearing spacer gave out on the third run.

I bought mine off someone the first thing I replaced was the spur gear. I believe it was from the previous owner.

After that I bought rpm parts for about everything u possibly can to prevent any breakage!

The body's a given, mine was scratched up pretty good after the first battery pack....this thing is awesome. The first thing I've broken is the chassis right by the nerf bar mount on a nasty curb slap at full speed.Still not fixed cause it doesn't effect the function in any way.The second thing I've broke was the left rear hub carrier, game over for that day but it was a cheap fix.All and all the Slash rocks and is very tough,I've been messing with r/c cars since the 80's and I have to say Traxxas has the best RTR's out there.I want one of each........PLEASE!!! LOL!

First was a rear carrier, then in well below freezing clipped the corner of the front porch and shattered a front control arm and shock cap. Went with the rpm's and aluminum caps.
