Exclamation steering servo hot and fading

both steering servos went out at once. i replaced with trx. # 2075 as they worked well for the past 6 months. and the same thing happened today, i installed them and all was ok and i went to bash and then 15 min. later truck started pausing so i pullede it in and checked the servo heat and the same one that waws heating up was hot again and fading on turning right. please help . is it the receiver wired wrong or just bad servo. i called traxxas and he said he didnt understand and is sending anther servo to me. gotta love traxxas for that. any help would be great. thank you all.

Did you adjust the steering linkage (per the manual) so the servos were not fighting each other (buzzing)?

well it cooled down and i turned it on just to check and see if it got hot while in use, but as soon as i turned on the esc the left side servo started heating up, while sitting there . no noise, servos are centered.

sounds like you possibly have a binding going on inside the servo case. maybe try opening up the servo case and see if something isn't binding the gears or possibly you might have a bent shaft that would stress the motor in the servo causing it to heat up on startup.

Servos do go bad! They do strip gears! If it is getting hot it is definitly bad.
Traxxas will replace all electronics out of warranty at 50% value.
Often cheaper to buy some spares off of E-Bay "chop shops".

yeah, I have been through countless 2075s (ok 4 or 5) so I am going to the single servo also. All we do is rock crawl and there just isnt enough tourqe on the traxxas ones for serious stuff anyway..
Make sure to post up what you chose to run and how it works out for ya!
