4S will burn up the stock ESC. 3S is the most it will support and you'll need to gear down and/or watch temperatures. 2S is pretty reliable.

Depend on the c rating if its a 20c venom prolly not, your just double ing the mah's when parrele them if you get a 60c 2s max amp prolly with do back flips I know my 3s venom will do standing back flip no problem

Ok. Dumb question. Other than the obvious amount of cells. What is the difference between a 2200 mAh 11.1V 40C , 2s, 3s.

There are so many options for batteries like I said before, for a n00b like me it gets confusing.

If I could get anything it would be 40mph. ( plenty top end for me ) but able to do the fun wheelies at 30 mph and backflips

The c rating on all lipos 234' ect is how fast the motor is discharging the battery (like draining it), higher the C rating the better go to max amps web site click on the link I posted above they list the run times and speed (mph) ther batteries do 11.1volts=3s. 7.4volts= 2s and so on

With stock motor / esc you will not see any noticeable difference between a 20c and a 40c pack

If gearing stays the same then 3s will be 50% faster than 2s

I just meant with the exact same specs ( mAh, C rating, volts etc ) the difference between a 2s and 3s

    Stock gearing 28/50
    2s - 30 mph
    3s - 45 mph

Traxxas reccomended (23/50) gearing for 3s
    2s - 25 mph
    3s - 38 mph

    Cheers

Pretty impressive. Is that just one 11.1 volt lipo? And how does the 3s give it so much more speed when it's the same voltage?

Not sure what you mean by that mate

    2s lipo - 7.4v nominal
    (actually 8.4v straight off charger)

    3s lipo - 11.1v nominal
    (actually 12.6v straight off charger)

ESC does not know if you have a single pack plugged in or two packs in parallel, it sees the same voltage

Running packs in parallel gives you double the runtime with the same speed

    Cheers

my 2s 2200mah (35-70c discharge) ******* ********** LiPos fit nice and snug...a perfect fit...though you'll have to cut part of the battery door off to make room for the 12 guage wire used on them....

plus they can be charged at a 8c rate my charger can only do 2c max lol (Onyx 230)

Sweet.. I've been looking at this pack.. Also considering the Hyperion VX 2S 2600 35/65.. It's 107x34x19.. The ********'s are 116x36x19 so the Hyperion packs should be a perfect fit..

I'll have to pick up some ********'s when they come back in stock..
