    VXL 3500 rebuild

I'm in the middle of a motor rebuild, got the kit and such, but it seems none of the bushing in the kit match the old one. Its the new 4 pole version motor, and I'm assuming the rebuild kit I got is from before the 4 poles came out. Anyone rebuild one of these yet? The original bushing seems to be about 1mm longer than the one in the rebuild kit. Called Traxxas and they didn't know, said it should be that kit and theres no number for a newer rebuild kit version....

    Thanks!

Bearings fit perfect, although they look different too.... The bearings in the rebuild kit have little notches on the edge of the sheild retaining clip things, and the ones from the motor are smooth with a slightly different shield design... But they do work the same. Also the 4 pole has a plastic end bell that the bearing basically just falls out of, not pressed in.... Don't like that... May see if I can replace the end with the old aluminum 2 pole one. The look the same...

Yeah, when I called Traxxas they suggested I use the old bushing as its only 5 months old... Thats what I am doing... I just think its sad that the company reps that sell this stuff knows nothing about any of it. He almost sounded confused when I said it was the new 4 pole version.

A lot of people have gotten confused about the hole 4 pole thing but as long as you are getting more bang for your buck dude. I rebuilt my tenshock recently and put New bearings in from a bearing specialist and it's running better than ever....peace

Dude i just tried to rebuild the 4 pole motor and at the bottom there's a bearing I cannot get it out what do I do? I can't just get it out with the 4 way wrench they gave me. You can do that with the old 2 pole
