I'm thinking about getting. KB.
I know some people talk bad about thia car, saying its not a drift car. I am aware of this and I am aware of what the car can do.
I plan on bashing with this car in streets and parking lots.
How do you guys like the car and what kind of driving do you do with yours?
Also, is the car good out of the box or does it need upgrades? I know it comes with 1 battery, should I get another or just go lipo? Do you guys run single or double lipos?
Thanks for your help!
I drive my rally in parking lots and parking garages and really enjoy it.
You will probably need new knuckles since the stock ones break pretty easy. My recommendation would be rpm's.
And I would recommend 2s lipos for bashing around.

depending on heat where you drive(i nkow this is random but it does seem to help) very lightly wet down the pavement it elps you drift a lil better too
Be sure and watch for(crunch and smash) cars...>.<
SoCold.........if I get a 2s lipo, do I run one or two of them?
Just wanted to know, what are the weak points of this car? Like what needs attention out of the box.
Also, what are some good first upgrades?
Weak points are the knuckles they wear and get sloppy.
Good upgrades are knuckles, steel hallow balls, some different shock oil weights and spring rates, a heat sink for the motor, Lipos.
Does someone have a link tot he RPM knuckles that will fir the KB?
When I look for upgrades for this, where do I look, under 1/16 Traxxas rally car?
Also, what is a decent 2s lipo for the KB?

All of the traxxas 1/16's use the same knuckles. I ended up with red ones...

I'll be picking up my KB from my LHS either tomorrow or Wednesday!!
I used to work there, so the guy is giving it to me for a good price.
What's the lowest price you guys have seen for one?
$299 free shipping.
Everything overpowered...
Picking it up tomorrow. Not sure how much, but definitely less than $299!
As far as first upgrades, I plan on getting 2 2s lipos, RPM knuckles and probably a clear Fiesta body so I don't trash my KB body.
Can I run 2 2s lipo's at the same time? Which connector would I need?
Any other suggestions?
Which connector gives the electronics the overheating issue? Series or parallel?
You are thinking of the series connector.
The series connector basically puts the two batteries end to end so you get double the voltage and a big speed increase. The series connector is the one people are burning up esc's with.
With the parallel connector you get the same voltage as one battery so same speed, but the current through each battery is half of what it is with only one battery. This results in less strain on the batteries and about double the run time.

Finally picked up my KB tonight. Got it for $230!!
I want to get a few lipo batteries soon. Should I run 2s or 3s lipos?
What are some decent lipo batteries to get? Anyone have any links?
I would recommend 2s. IMO 3s would be just for speed runs. That's just my thoughts though.

once you put 3s in this thing, it flies, but if you hit a curb say bye bye to a lot of things. when i crashed the car with 3s 11v i bent the motor plate, completely kill a-arms and knuckles on the side that way hit and wheel was gone.
2s x2 connected in parallel you'll have lots of un
