    Lightbulb Opportunity... Should I?

I have the opportunity to purchase a nearly new Monster Buggy for $300 rtr minus radio. Should I? I understand non-existent parts availability, but I can make my own parts. Opinions please!

That's not a terrible deal...and if you can make your own parts...I'd have a hard time saying no!

Well I did it, I bought the Monster Buggy off of my LHS owner for 300 bills. It's completely ready-to-run with a Futaba 3PM FM radio. Although I will eventually go 2.4ghz on the buggy, this will get me started... and it has a failsafe unit already installed. They only ran the buggy a couple times ON ROAD, so there's not even a single scratch on it! I'm excited to take the buggy to my local club track and try competing with other large-scale RCs.

OK I'll get some pictures soon so you all can see the beast!

Went club racing this weekend and raced the monster buggy in large scale class. There were two other guys with HPI baja's, and I beat them both! TQ'd with 21 laps, 4 laps ahead of second finisher and nine laps ahead of third finisher. Unfortunately, all three of us broke in the second heat so we didn't have a main race. It was loads of fun, and I got a lot of compliments on the buggy!

I landed crooked over a single jump coming onto the front strait and hit the pipes pretty hard. I bent the right rear shock shaft like a V! Tried straitening it by hand and racing again, but it was no use. Luckily, I sourced a new shaft... but you didn't just hear me say that
