    Is this a good deal

    I have a chance to get a brand new vxl roller for $70. It comes with everything except servo, radio/receiver, tires, body, and motor/esc. I was wondering if that is worth it?

    If you don't take, I will! They go for twice that on eBay.

    Good deal... whats the shipping? If the shipping is reasonable its a good deal.

    Dont be fooled though, a VXL pre-roller is what your looking at (no wheels/tires) and they dont sell for ALOT more than that on e-bay... there are lots of XL5 pre-rollers with transmission for $60 brand new.

    if its a real VXL then get it... a lot of people mistakenly buy XL-5's and are disappointed afterwards... since you didnt list it above I assume it comes with the transmission? if it has the tranny than defenitly go for it

    You just have to weigh it out to what it'll cost new. Rusty VXL can be had for about $270 brand new. Here's what you're looking at:

    "Roller" = 70
    Servo = 20
    Radio/receiver = 30
    Wheels/Tires = 40
    Body = 35
    motor/esc = 90

    That's 285 right there. Granted you may be able to find some items cheaper but still. You're not saving a whole lot. Unless it's maybe your second car and you just want to build your own.

    obviously buying parts separately will never be cheaper but that way you can choose what you want in your truck without spending even more money
    Does more $ = More fun?

    Or having a pile of almost worthless stock parts leftover.
