    Fitting the CC Mamba Max Pro SCT

    Hey all,
    Gonna be buying the CC mamba max pro SCT for my stampede. I am wondering what kind of mods I will have to make in order for it to fit or if it will just drop right in? Thanks!

    it fits, probably you should have to make your own mounting plate and thatīs it, I donīt have the 2400kv motor, but it fits without a problem.

    The 2400 takes some dremeling to fit a wider gear range. Not really a big deal.

    Thanks for the replies guys. Rc-fan you just used jimmy rigged up a little place for the esc to sit and screwed the plate into existing screw holes right?

    I took a lexan piece from a leftover body, drill the holes , and use some velcro, you can zip tie the esc if you want to the plate too.

    I can't get this to work. I dont understand. I have everything dremeled out. I am trying to mount the motor with a 17tooth pinion and I am not even close to the spur gear what size gearing are you guys running? Seems like I can run a 25t pinion.... Seems too large though doesnt it?

    Thomas your esc seems elevated did you put some sort of plate that it sits on?

    Ya I got it positioned finally, just cant get the pinion close enough even with 20t. There is just not room to move the motor with this motor plate. Never done this type of work on a truck before haha this is all so new to me

    did you dremel the mounting screws,I have to do it on mine they were too large, is the motor flush with the motor plate? also have to move the pinion almost to the end of the shaft to properly mesh with the spur.

    I am using the stock mounting screws now because the one with from castle wouldnt work they stuck out too far. motors flush as I can get it. And Ive move the pinion up to the front (been the closest I've got it to work) but still cant get her to go. Been messing with this thing for hours. Thought my after my break I would get it to work, but nope not yet. Ready to drop this thing in another truck its becoming a pain especially when a spur gear strips in the future.

    First off, it looks like you still need to dremel your center driveshaft area, see my pic above.Also, It could be the pic, but it looks like the pinion you are using is a a 48p, you need 32p.

    Thank you Thomas! was hoping Jang made a video on this, guess I didnt look hard enough. I just have to cut out that dip for the motor to sit in, toward the end of the chassis and a little more on the drive shaft wall and I guess it should make her fit. thanks for posting this!

    cuz the spur is a 32P/0.8 Gear..you will need that kind of pinion,otherwise it wil sounds so bad, you will throw in the towel...and it will not work =)

    The pede comes stock with 32p gears, because as everyone knows they are A LOT stronger, but also sound louder. lol
