    Help with new spartan!

Hey guys I recently purchased one of the spartan boats and was wondering if anyone can help me. When I plug in the batteries the esc does the three beeps and engages but when I hit the throttle everything shuts down.. I reset the transmitter and changed in into lipo mode and back to nimh mode but it seems that nothing is making it work. does anyone have any tips to help me? thanks

    What batteries are you using?

Which esc is it ( vxl branded one or the castle branded one )?

if its the first esc by Traxxas, most likely that its faulty...

I have the second gen (no temp sensor) VXL motor and esc.. not the castle one. I am using the stock nimh batteries and they work fine in my summit and revo so they batteries dont seem to be bad

Hmm, only thing I can suggest is to check for loose connections, check the throttle trim is neutral ( and not reversed either ) and reprogramme the esc to the radio. Otherwise it's a job for traxxas support & maybe a new esc is in order..
