Team Orion vortex motor and esc cogging bad help

Just recently put the Orion vortex motor and experience pro 2 esc in my 4x4 slash, and it's cogging bad, I have tried different gears and different remotes and batteries, 2s and 3s lipos, but it's still cogging at all speeds other than full throttle, I'm useing the traxxas tq 2.4 remote, is my motor / esc defective? Or is there something I'm missing

Have you calibrated the ESC to your transmitter ?

What ESC settings are you using ?

No, didn't know I needed to calibrate the esc to the transmitter, and I've ran threw different settings on the esc, with the optional program box

You will need to calibrate it, every esc / transmitter combo is different

    Centre your throttle trim
Set your throttle / brake travel (EPA's) at 100%
Calibrate according to instructions for your ESC

What model of ESC do you have ?

Look up the manual for it online if you dont have it

If its the R10SC ESC manual can be found here, calibration is on page 3

Assuming it is a sensorless motor the order does not matter

Have you calibrated the ESC yet ?
