Well, was good enough for me to do that!
Nope as far as I can see... It's not like the SRT that has that little "L" shape plastic on the rear shock tower...
If you wait a week or so, my CC chassis is on the way here and I can meassure it for you before I start building it...

Haha, I've been waiting for page 2 also! The upper deck does not attach to the rear bulk. Also, it does not lie flat. When installed, it has a slight "bow" because the bulk sits higher than the battery cups. Kinda weird, but I did confirm it with another person who has the same chassis.
There is a scan of the upper deck here: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.ph...omposite+craft![]()

So, what's missing now? Or, is it completed?
He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
Daves amazing... he's like a magnet for hard to find vintage parts. Hehe.
Well, I now have all the parts. I would like to find NOS, wing mounts, white shock pieces for 2 shocks, and the ever elusive new body, but that's it. I am very happy with the condition of the used pieces I have, but when the opportunity rises, I will get new ones.
You will be receiving an e-mail shortly about annodizing.I'd like all of my alluminum to match.

Hahaha, Dave, get a few more for me too...
And, no problem about the annodizing, but, I would like to wait until the end of the year if you can, you know how these days are regarding shipping...

He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
Oh, I agree. I probably won't even have it until tomorrow or the day after anyways. I need to give myself some time to drool over it and get my shocks ready.![]()

Short question, the battery tray in the middle, when you installed it, did it bend on the flat rectangle area that goes against the chassis? When I installed mine it bends like a small arch. What kind of screw did you used?
He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
Yeah, it doesn't fit right. Kinda weird, but there is a member from rc10talk forums who has this chassis too. He said that it was the same for him too.

Thanks! That doesn't happen with the stock chassis from Traxxas...
He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
Your parts are done and safe at my home! The color is the same for all of them, but my camera shows them a little different...

I'm sending them to you on Monday morning with Priority shipping and tracking (I hope), you should get them in one week or two... I'm keeping the old shocks as we talked about...

He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
Yeah Buddy! I'm giddy with uber excitement! You take care of the motor mount now. I looked for that thing for 4 months!
Thanks a ton Daniel!

Hope to get them on the buggy soon!![]()

Great! I'm glad you got them and you like them!Hope to see some pics soon!
He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
Got the shocks rebuilt! Should get to the tranny soon! I also have a Thorp gear set to put in it also (changes ratio to that of the associated RC10).
I really can't wait to see that new motor mount on the TRX1!

Very Awesome man. I'm getting sucked into this vintage stuff! The best addiction you can have!
Simply the best. The beautiful Traxxas SRT and TCP
Getting closer! Got the Thorp gears installed along with the motor plate and gear cover. Sure looks nice! Once I get the motor installed, pics will be up.

Just got a complete and new Losi Hydra Drive unit for the TRX-1! It's like a fluid filled slipper. It has an impeller to spin in thick fluid to provide a unique form of slip. A while back a Thorp adapter shaft popped up on Ebay for the TRX-1, and I thought it may come in use in the future. Glad I got it!
This buggy is just a collector's item, but I don't think I'll ever be done with it.Still want Technacraft titanium turnbuckles and suspension pins........ (and a new body!)

Nice, those things are expensive! You know there's a Traxxas adapter shaft too...

He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
Never knew traxxas had an adapter shaft! I got the whole assembly NOS for $50ish. Not bad I think.![]()

Whenever you have a moment, can you take a nice big picture of all the included parts? Thanks! Daniel.
PS: want to see the aluminum parts installed!
He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
I'll take pics of the whole kit.Guess I'll post some pics of the aluminum tonight! Was waiting for the hydra drive, but it sure looks nice right now too! I may have to quickly bolt the motor up also.
![]()
BTW, since traxxas made an adapter shaft for the hydra drive, do you know if they made a gear cover to fit over it? (or another company) Don't think the regular gear cover will fit over it.Then again, do I want to cover it up? IDK haha

No...I found the adapter yesterday night by mistake, I don't know if there's a gear cover for it...
He Who Dies With the Most Toys Wins.
What part number is the adapter? Maybe I can find some more info....
Ok, time for pics!!!! Dont have my Hydra Drive unit yet, but the pics will show the re-annodized shocks and motor plate.
Also, Thorp gear set and adapter shaft (for hydra drive unit)
Thorp gear set in progress........
The gear ratio is now the same as the associated RC10 (2.25:1).
Thorp adapter shaft for the Hydra Drive (which is in the mail!)
Look at all the pristine aluminum.
BIG thanks to Daniel for getting all the aluminum re-annodized so that they were no longer 3 shades of blue!
I'll probably always be adding something to it...I just like building things. Still eagerly await a new (old) body though!![]()

Vintage TRX collector|Florida Dirt Oval racer
This looks very good.I like the blue, black and white color coordination.
Well, I got my hydra drive unit the other day. Turns out, the "unit" is not fully complete. It's just a bolt on for the losi slipper. So, I now need to find a new losi friction slipper set up.
Plus side, got another set of TRX 1 instructions also....in much better shape than my previous set. Figured I'd get them for $5.![]()
